This album was a totally random pick one night, and how I was surprised. Had I known the pedigree of the band members maybe I would've expected a classy record as this one. It comes courtesy of the two less famous members of The Raconteurs; bass guitarist Jack Lawrence and drummer Patrick Keeler. Being their first full studio release in 8 years and their first piece of new material since East Grand Blues EP (2005) and their fourth album in a 11 year career, it's a fresh take on an old sound. While it will typically be categorized as 'Garage Rock Revival', it's much more than that. I would put it as a mix of 'The Kinks' and 'The Black Keys', and yet, there's some influences I can't quite put my finger on it, and if I can't I'm bound to like it because it means I've never heard it at all, or very rarely. If you are a fan of any of the three bands listed above, pick this one up.
